This is a workshop where you can learn to embroider in a simple way, without the pressure of creating something perfect.
You will discover how a few simple stitches can transform a design into an embroidery piece.
It’s up to you to decide what these creations become: wall art, brooches, a way to breathe new life into a pre-loved garment, and much more.
"Clumsy embroidery" means stitching without chasing perfection, just having fun.

WORKSHOP
Sashiko Moyozashi
Natasha from Orso Objetos will guide us through the techniques of Sashiko embroidery, an artistic yet functional practice dating back to 17th-century Japan.
We will learn to draw each pattern without the aid of pre-made tools: a ruler, a compass, a pen, and a needle, plus a little attention to math and rhythm and your Sashiko piece is ready! Sashiko Moyozashi is characterized by curved, free-flowing, and traditional patterns where the stitches never overlap.

During the workshop, Natasha from Orso Objetos
will guide you step-by-step through learning the basic Sashiko stitches. No prior experience is needed: the workshop is open to everyone, even those who have never held a needle before!
What to bring: A desire to socialize and comfortable clothing suitable for sitting outdoors.

Join Tiina to explore new art and craft projects while practicing English in a welcoming, relaxed atmosphere.
The workshops are organized by age group and held in small groups (max. 8 participants) on a weekly basis from February to May.
